The Perfect Gift

With the holidays fast approaching there is always that one (or maybe two) person that is hard to shop for. Or, maybe you just need ideas in general. We have your answer!!!! Give the gift of sponsorship!!!!

Winter Month Reminders

With the winter ,months fast approaching we have some "cold weather" reminders (where we are it gets cold!). Make sure horses have access to fresh UNFROZEN water. While horses can maybe use frozen water or even snow in DESPERATE measures in the wild, it is not an option for those keeping horses. There are several ways to keep water flowing. Check the internet or contact a veterinarian. Also, a blanket can go a long way in helping a horse stay warm, which in return can use less energy on the horses part to keep warm, therefore allowing them to use energy for other needs. And as always, they need access to food.

REMINDER: We are a rescue that depends on the generosity of people like you. We have a HIGH number of horses this winter and the amount of hay needed is HUGE. Please consider giving any amount you can. It all adds up. Thank you.

We know that this has been a hard year for everyone, but ifyou could spare few dollars for hay the horses would greatly appreciate it. We would also like to ask that everyone spread the word-it's one of the easiest ways to help.

Hay Drive and Thank You

Thank you to all of you who attended our second annual Equine Party Fundraiser. Even with the rainy weather we had a great time. We hope to see everyone and more again next year as this event keeps growing!!

As usual we are looking for hay. This is really crunch time for us and crucual to the rescue making it through the winter. Please, if you can donate some money for the purchase of hay and help spread the word the horses would appreciate it!

Equine Party Fundraiser

Horse Rescue-Open House

4th Annual Open House at the Rescue on June 21, 2008! Come and meet the horses and spend the day watching the various demonstrations that will be happening. There will be demonstrations on harness and driving, barrel racing, poles, horsemanship and more! More information will be coming very soon!

Due to the shortage and prices of hay this past year, and the long winter and our forever need of hay we are forced to really focus on securing hay way ahead of time this year. We also give hay year round. In order to continue our dedication to the horses we need to ensure that we can purchase hay. We simply cannot run without it. It is unfortante that we need to put so much effort and focus our attention on this matter (we are not the only ones affected) but we do. SO PLEASE CONTINUE TO HELP AS MUCH AS YOU CAN AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED AND CONTINUES TO HELP!

Booger was born to a mare that was rescued along with two others by someone who saved them from slaughter because the owner would no longer care for them. Several months later several others were seized after the owners literally abandoned them.
